I'm gonna have to redo a lot of missions to get that 100% Tyria map title. *sigh* And here I thought I'd be done with Tyria. Oh well.

Look at my map:

Hmmm, I did another run-through of Dunes and cleared some more of the map, but there's one area past a drawn-up bridge to the West that I can get to. There are Enchanted Bows guarding the area and Loasru Bowman on the other side. I was thinking kill the Losaru and use Necrotic Traversal, but I can't quite reach them with spells or range weapons. Any suggestions?
(Yes, I'm obsessive-compulsive)
Anyway, it was worth the detour from the Factions preview in that I picked up Superior Runes of Soul Reaping and Vigor for my time spent, so thanks for the tip!

Maybe Edge of Extension to kill them? You have almost as much as me, just a few steps more in the south-west. But the thing with the extra area sounds cool, let's meet ingame and try to find a way.

It's listed on GuildWiki, but how far along are you in it? Did it automatically show up or did it only show up after you identified a gold?
I was wondering if these progress bars only show up after a certian percentage, but then I recalled the aforementioned 1 minute Drunkard progress bar, so that's not it either.

I really want to thank Anet for adding the titles - well at least the exploring one. I was really surprised that I had ~70% exploration with my ranger so I went to explore more... I found some places that are so awesome.. in the Desert, in Kryta and the Jungle. I would never visit them otherwise.

havent bothered to check whats new in Factions yet (as ive not bought it yet), just saw this show up on my titles list
those titles show up when you do something that they require (duh, my english is pwnage today). ie, that showed when I id'd a gold item, you also get Tresure Track or something like that when you open a high-lvl chest (dont ask me from which place onwards they are considered high-level, i got no idea). So yes, the progress bar for the certain title show when you start doing any progress ;P

Upto 10 minutes atm, just 990minutes to go. It'll only cost me about 200k in Dwarven Ale...

I've looked at 100% maps only to notice that mine is clearer, including the large chunk at Dunes that most don't know about. I think I was among the first, if not Thee, to discover that little corner. I've also made excessive/absurd trips in every corner of the world to get the most random pieces of fog off my map. This means inching around every single border of all zones and missions, and finding every little crevice.
I was shocked to see that people had 100% and I was at 98.2%. Until I saw people at 100, I was the highest I saw reported. This makes me think there most be some "non-map" I am missing. If you can reach 100% without that large chunk in the Dunes of Depspair mission, then the counter doesn't take much if any consideration into de-fogging the most random corners and crevices.
Supposedly it was confirmed that Pre-Searing does not add on to the Tyrian percentage? I think I'll confirm that for myself with a new character in a minute. I went through most of it with my new char, but I am positive I didn't cover it all as dilligently as I have been mapping in the recent months. I do have a fully explored pre-sear map on another account/char to match it up with too.
If anyone can confirm if areas like UW, FoW, and SF log explored area %'s I'd really appreciate it. I'm not one to farm, but have been down in the majority of these areas. That being said, I know I probably have some uncleared territory in the UW and FoW..and possibly SF on my warrior. But those don't even have a map "U-map" that becomes "un-covered" so I am quite confused.
I've even double-checked my "Arena Maps" and reached the Zaishen challenges and Elites. Another thing it may be is GvG areas? I've probably only GvG'd in two of the Guild Halls.
I have thoroughly explored all of PvE tombs. Probably been over every general area of PvP as well. The counter is not that picky for small areas I can tell you that. It takes a good 100-200 yards or so to raise that thing up .1%.
Lay on the insight.

I can say for certain that the UW and FoW don't count towards the totals because i haven't explored every inch of those areas. Lich confirmed that Pre-Searing doesn't count, and the fact that I had 100% without Dunes completely explored indicates to me that missions don't count. My best guess is that only towns and explorable areas count towards the overall totals.
Surely with 98.2% complete you've been in all the areas, Brutaniu, so I'm thinking there might be some minor side section of one that you might have missed. Since cities clearly count (and they'd be prime candidates because the markers block the map view), how about Lion's Arch? There's a long stretch by the water that goes to a lighthouse on a hill, and lots of people don't go that way. The other major cities might be worth a shot as well if you think you might not have fully walked each of them.
@Aldready Dead Lich: I sent you a PM, let me know if you want to do any map uncovering in the Dunes.

Missions do count, I've been mapping some missed bits of The Wilds just now and I've made some steady progress (currently @ 87.2%, loads more to cover!)

Hmmmm, that's interesting. ANet mujst have made some special allowances for particularly difficult to map areas, then, because there's no question that when I posted my original "100% complete" map earlier today I had a fair chunk of Dunes unexplored. Guess this will take some further investigating...

Towns.
Missions.
Outposts.
Bonuses.
Zones.
I've been over all of them, un-turned every stone, and then some.
There's a large chunk I'm missing, 1.8%, and it can't be on the actual world map from "M". I haven't seen one clearer than mine, including those with 100% Tyria titles.
